Traditionally made of clay, tiles are the most versatile product for custom designing your space. These days, tile is made of glass, metal, resin and more. Components such as the size of the tile, the grout color used, accents, and the pattern installed can create a work of art!
Ceramic tile: Usually more cost effective than porcelain, ceramic is a base grade tile used in many applications. The clay is soft and there is more airspace in the tile itself which causes it to be less stable and more prone to moisture retention and breakage.
Porcelain tile: We usually recommend porcelain tile because of the higher quality clay that is used. It is a finer clay which creates less airspace in the tile. Because of this, porcelain tile is 30% harder than granite and can even be used outdoors and will not crack in cold weather!
